The RUD Grip 4x4 is perfect for most light trucks, SUVs, jeeps, and even minivans. 4WD is not required.
The Grip 4x4 series is by far our best selling chain. People like them because they are:

The Grip 4x4 link size is 5.5mm.
The Compact Grip link size is 3.5mm.
In comparing the Grip 4x4 with other seemingly similary products, you will notice that all other seeming similar products on the market we have seen have 4.5mm links.
The RUD Grip 4x4 does not meet class "S" clearance standards.
The Compact Grip does meet class "S" clearance standards.
Installation Video - Grip 4x4
To install these chains, open the bag and remove the chains. Detach the cable from its connectors. Then take the long thin yellow chain and make certain it is detached from all other devices. Send the blue end of the cable behind the tire and grab it with your other hand. Lift both ends up and connect them at the top most part of the tire. Secure the red hook to the blue chain at the front, then push the cable behind the tire. Now take the long thin yellow chain at the bottom and run it through the brass colored connector hole and sinch it back for tightness. Now run the long thin yellow chain through the thin yellow metal loop, weave the yellow chain around the blue chain and connect the tensioner to the blue chain.
One set is for two tires.

The Grip 4x4 is not designed for commercial applications such as snow plowing, pulling a trailer, or for emergency vehicle use. For these we recommend using the Olympia Sprints.
